Who We Are
Demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through action in Harar, Ethiopia.
Our Story
Siloam Ethiopia is a faith-based non-profit organization founded by Pastor Demeke Getahun and his wife Wegayehu Ketema. For over 25 years, they carried a vision to serve the poor and vulnerable in Harar, Ethiopia. That vision became reality on June 20th, 2018, when Siloam Medium Clinic opened its doors to provide free healthcare to those who cannot afford it. Today, Siloam serves over 800 patients monthly, houses orphaned girls, provides clean water, and continues to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through action.

Our Mission
To demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing free healthcare, safe housing for vulnerable children, and clean water to communities in Harar, Ethiopia — serving everyone without discrimination of ethnicity, religion, or language.

I was in a car accident and I used to use a wheelchair and crutches to move around. When I was in the middle of this stress, some friends referred me to this clinic. I was treated and taken care of for free. I am walking now because of this clinic.
